ACTI’s Operations Team
Jack is a PhD graduate majoring in agricultural biotechnology and has spent the past 4 years working on a research project at the University of Melbourne examining the obstacles for commercialising novel biotechnological products from the public sector.
Melvin is a life sciences graduate who combines expertise in both R&D and business development to provide guided pathways for start-ups in their journey towards commercialisation. He is the co-founder of a med-tech start-up which has received substantial non-diluted funding in China and has been involved in various roles within the start-up ecosystem over the past three years; as a business development manager in a venture capital firm, and currently as incubator manager at ACTI.
Alex has over six years’ experience in laboratory management and research divisional operations for research institutions PMCC and Baker IDI. Alex has also contributed to case studies relating to high-tech funding start-ups as a research assistant for the school of business and management at La Trobe University. He has also worked as a analyst for the department of Innovation, Commercialisation and Technology Transfer at La Trobe University.
